Photo of a Cultist Killed In Unijos Today

The students of University of Jos today killed one of the cultists that invaded the university. The cultist came into the University permanent site in Jos to kill a student. Unfortunately they killed a wrong student. 

Some of the students that witnessed the incident gave them a hot chase and apprehended the one in this picture. They killed him with his own gun and informed the police about the incident.

The gun used is held by a policeman on the right as seen in the picture above

Distressed Qatar Airways flight successfully lands in Lagos

A Qatar Airways plane in distress, has successfully landed in Lagos. The plane which was travelling from Doha to Lagos, developed what official sources called a “landing gear problem”, after a tire reportedly burst in mid-air The National Emergency Management Authority (NEMA) and other emergency services were on standby, but the situation is already taken care of.

Man arrested for throwing burning stove on wife

Another horror story. From PM News

A middle-aged man identified as Oladimeji Fowowe has been arrested by the police at Iju police station Station Red House, Lagos, for allegedly setting his wife on fire, when he threw a burning stove and hot water on her.

The suspect, who trailed his wife to Ijoko in Ogun State, southwest Nigeria where she had gone to assist her husband’s younger brother’s wife who had just put to bed a set of twins, was alleged to have committed the crime when his wife returned to Iju area of Ishaga, Lagos State from Ijoko

One killed, three injured as gunmen invade University of Jos

Two gun men invaded the University of Jos opening fire on unsuspecting students. Two 100level female students were seriously injured, but no student was killed.

Students who witnessed the random and senseless shooting pursued and killed one of the attackers while the other one was rescued by police before the students could also kill him. Police discovered a gun with three live cartridges with the surviving attacker.

The police is yet to say who the men were and why they shot at students of the school.

Four Kids Burnt to death in midnight fire

Tragedy struck the family of Aggery at Obokohia, Ohaji/Egbami Local Government Area of Imo State yesterday when it lost four children to a midnight fire. The four children, aged between 6 and 12, were burnt to death while asleep. The victims, Mercy, Ify, Chioma and Onyinyechi, reportedly came back from their maternal home by 7pm on the day they died. They had gone to their maternal home to spend the long vacation.

The source of the fire, which could not be ascertained as at press time, lasted for hours after reducing the family property to rubble. The combined effort of neighbours and relations, who were awakened by the wailing from the parents of the kids, later brought the fire under control. The father, Mr. Charles Aggery, told reporters that it was an irony of fate that his kids could finish their long holidays with their maternal relations only to come back home and met their untimely death..

Real Madrid manager, Jose Mourinho, has finally spoken about Cristiano Ronaldo’s situation at the Spanish club. His compatriot, had come to say that he was unhappy at the club for “professional reasons”, and that was why he did not celebrate his brace against Grenada two weeks ago.
However, Mourinho has said he is not bothered about his star player’s comments, so far he continues to play well.

Tragedy: Water tanker kills 3 persons in Anambra

Tragedy struck in Obinato Community in Amesi, a suburb of Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra on Tuesday following the tragic end of three persons in a 14-feet under ground water tank.
The mysterious death, according to an eyewitness who identified himself as Chukwuebuka; occurred at about 9 a.m. in a yet-to-be completed one-storey building allegedly owned by a Lagos-based business mogul, Alex Muorah.
Chukwuebuka gave the names of the deceased thus: Augustine Dimude, 33 who is a carpenter while Onyebuchi Ezemokwe Chidebere Ezendu are 22 and 23 years old respectively.
He said that the deceased met their untimely death while washing the tanker, which contains some chemicals bought by Muorah.
“I am frightened and worried because we have never seen this type of death before in this town,” Chukwuebuka disclosed.

When it comes to Chris Brown and Rihanna, tattoos seem to ignite nothing but controversy for the two friendly exes.

Images made the rounds on the Web of Chris Brown’s latest ink: a portrait of a woman who appeared to have half of her face bloodied and bruised.
So of course, everyone leapt to the conclusion that Brown had immortalized the damage he did to Rihanna’s face on his neck.
But hold up, wait a minute. Before you get the pitchforks hear this: That’s not what the tattoo is of.
Chris Brown’s reps explained to TMZ that the tattoo is actually of a Mexican “sugar skull,” which is associated with the Mexican holiday Dia de Los Muertos.
So it’s actually a portrait of a woman with a half-dead face, hence all of the bruising and wounding.

Another student shot dead again: RIP Wunmi Adebayo

This time it's a female student of Tai Solarin University of Education. According to classmates and friends of the slain student  Wunmi Adebayo (pictured above) was shot dead last night at a male friend's house at Golden Estate in Ijebu Ode, Ogun state.

The 200level student was visiting the friend when they were attacked by armed robbers who robbed them and shot her in the face because she fought them off when they tried to rape her.

The 21 year old was buried today at Ijebu Ode according to Islamic rites. Her friends say she was very jovial, friendly and kind hearted. Her candlelight procession will hold tomorrow at skyfield in Lagos

UNIBEN student, Daniel Ike, gunned down by suspected cultists

23 year old Daniel Ike popularly known as 'Afro Dan', a final year student of Chemical Engineering, University of Benin, was shot in the face on Friday night September 7th at Vincente Hostel, Ekosodin, just behind UNIBEN.

Daniel went to the hostel to see a female friend when he was attacked by some guys who shot him point blank in the face. Daniel died instantly.

Students of the school and friends of Daniel who sent me this story said he had just 20 days left in school before graduation. He was supposed to start his final paper next week Monday.

The reason why he was killed is still unknown as friends say Daniel wasn't a cultist; he was just a popular good looking rich kid. His parents and the police have been informed about his murder.

Tragedy in Edo: Erosion kills 23 persons, displaces hundreds of residents

At least 23 persons, including nursing mothers and children have been reportedly killed and hundreds of others displaced from their abodes in the Ibori, Ugbalo, Ewu-Eguare, Idogalo and Oludide communities of Edo Central, Edo State by gully erosion.
The bereaved communities had sent SOS to President Goodluck Jonathan to come to their rescue.
Recounting their ordeals, some of the community leaders viz. Daudu of Oludide Village; head of Ibori, Alhaji Gaz; Asene Iyere and Mallam Mutaro Ibramai of Ewu, said over eight people had so far been washed away by the gully erosion that has taken over the place.

Cynthia Osokogu's murder: Nigeria Tourism Board to sue hotel

The Nigeria Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC) via its DG, Segun Reunsewe, today announced that it plans to file formal charges against the management of Cosmilla Hotel; the hotel where Cynthia Osokogu was murdered on July 22nd.

NTDC said the hotel was operating illegally because it was not registered wit them. Every hotel, bar, restaurant, club etc in Nigeria is supposed to register with the corporation.

NTDC found out about the hotel's illegal operation after it was thrown into limelight following Cynthia's murder
