Barely seven days after the board conducted this year’s UTME, JAMB Registrar, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, revealed that out of 1, 644, 110 candidates that sat for this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), only 10 scored 300 and above, 628 other candidates scored between 270 and 299 while many others failed woefully in the examination.
In a swift reaction to disengage itself from the fraudulent act, the body took to its facebook account and released a statement which reads in parts,”Information reaching JAMB shows Internet fraudsters are already telling candidates that their results could be upgraded in one form or the other. This is pure deceit, the public and candidates are hereby advised to disregard these fraudsters since they do not have access to our data.
“Let me once again state that candidates are allowed to change their choices of institutions and courses once only, this change has to be effected within two weeks.” The statement had concluded.
