The Ebonyi State Police Command says it has commenced investigation into the alleged killing of 15-year-old Chukwudalu Omege by his cousin, Uchechukwu Nwankwo.
It was gathered that Nwankwo, 25, who had dreamt that the deceased was among those plotting to kill him, took a knife soon after the nightmare and stabbed his victim.
The incident, DailyPost had gathered, created serious confusion among the entire residents of No. 7 Ibe Street, Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital.
The Ebonyi Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Sylvester Igbo who confirmed the killing said the police got to know about the unfortunate incident when the murder case was reported at the Ekumenyi Police station by a member of the deceased family (name withheld).
“A report was made at the Ekumenyi Police Station that one Uchechukwu Nwankwo aged 25, stabbed his cousin, one Chukwudalu Omege aged 15 and the victim was rushed to the Federal Teaching Hospital Abakaliki,(FETHA). Unfortunately, while the victim was receiving treatment at the FETHA, he died at the early hours of Saturday.
“On interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime. According to him, he was in a dream when he saw three men, and in that dream it was revealed to him that the three men were hatching plans to eliminate him. When he woke up, he prayed against it and went back to sleep.

“Again, he had another dream where two other people were revealed to him, were planning to kill him also”, he said.
Continuing, the PPRO said “When he looked closely in a bid to identify the people planning to kill him, he identified his cousin, (the deceased) and immediately he woke up, he picked up a machete and went after the cousin. While the cousin was trying to raise the alarm and running for his dear life, he went after him and inflicted several machete cuts on him, leading to his death”.
He further disclosed that the Ekumenyi Division was still investigating the matter, adding that at the end of the investigation, the command would charge those indicted to court.

A stuntman died yesterday during a world record attempt as he tried to cross a river on a zip-wire attached only to his hair. Sailendra Nath Roy, 50, was half way through the stunt when his ponytail became stuck in the wheeler of the rope and he was left hanging in mid-air for about 25 minutes. 

Despite desperate attempts to free himself, it is believed Mr Roy then suffered a major cardiac arrest and died. May his soul rest in peace...amen. Another photo when you continue but viewers discretion is advised.

Governor Fashola builds first suspension bridge in Nigeria

Lagos State Governor, Babatunde has finished building the first suspension bridge in Nigeria. The 1.358km bridge, which will link Ikoyi (Alexander Street) to Lekki (Admiralty Way), cost about N29 billion to build and a toll will be collected to recoup the investment. Keturah Hamilton set to expose Jim Iyke’s “lies”, claims reality show was acted

 For a while now, it’s been all over the blogosphere that Jim Iyke is dating beautiful actress, Nadia Buari but his publicist plainly denied  that any romantic relationship was on between them, adding that his official girlfriend and Jamaican babe, Kenturah Hamilton, is still the one.

Superstar footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has denied cheating on his girlfriend with a Brazilian model who won the title 'Miss BumBum' . Andressa Urach had claimed the Real Madrid striker slept with her in a hotel just 48 hours before a key Champions League semi final which his team lost 4-1 to German side Borussia Dortmund.

The 27-year-old told The Sun: 'I have always thought Cristiano is one of the most gorgeous men in the world, so I couldn't believe it when he got in touch with me. 'He said he was very excited by my pictures online and one of the first things he asked me was if I really was a Miss Butt Brazil model.' she said: 'It was incredible, his body's perfect, like a Greek god. He went on for hours and would not stop talking about my butt.'

But Ronaldo said in a statement on Twitter last night: ‘I was informed that The Sun, faithful to its editorial line, will publish an article where is given voice to a so called Andressa - someone seeking the limelight on my account. ‘And I wonder why this happens one day before a very important game for my team. Rihanna Spotted In ATL at Magic City Strip Club & Releasing DVD For “777″ Documentary

Rihanna’s “777″ documentary is headed to DVD. The star has announced that she’ll be releasing a DVD version of the documentary about her week-long world tour last November. Fans can purchase it starting May 7th – the day after it makes its world premiere on Fox. The documentary will be exactly 77 minutes long, starting just ahead of the debut of “Unapologetic,” when she performed seven shows in seven countries – in Mexico City, Toronto, Stockholm, Paris, Berlin, London and New York. The Fox version of the documentary will be an edited-down 44-minute version. “777 TOUR” is described as “an inside look at this ambitious and often turbulent tour” with a “larger than life video and audio experience.”

 Jose Mourinho has publicly named the 11 players, that will start the Champions League semi-final game against Borussia Dortmund.

Gucci Mane and Young Scooter Are Cellmates in DeKalb County Jail

 After assaulting a man with a bottle, and then violating his probation, Gucci Mane has spent much of the past month or so of his life incarcerated in the DeKalb County jail. This much we know. But what we didn’t know is that he’s actually sharing his jail cell with another rapper who just so happens to be a very good friend of his.

As it turns out, rap newcomer Young Scooter — who frequently collaborates with Gucci Mane — was arrested and booked for his own probation violation on April 8th, and a source with connections to both rappers have revealed to MTV News that the two rappers are not only are housed in the same prison, but they’re actually living with each other in the same cell.
Young Scooter (real name: Kenneth Edward Bailey) is best known for the song “Colombia,” and he also released a 16-track mixtape with Gucci Mane (born: Radric Davis) back in February called “Free Bricks 2.”
It’s probably a coincidence, albeit a strange one, that Bailey and Davis ended up in a jail cell together … but based on their recent history of collaborations, fans of both artists can probably expect something musical to come out of this.
Who knows? Gucci and Scooter could be working on a “Free Bricks 3″ right now as we speak.

The reality star was delighted when she was finally reunited with her baby daddy in New York on Monday. But unfortunately for Kim the happy reunion was short-lived.The couple were seen smiling as they chatted inside a shop but Kanye appeared to be far more excited by running into Jay-Z as soon as they stepped outside.

He  hugged Jay-Z with the pair both grinning from ear to ear. It came despite the fact that Kanye publicly slammed Jay-Z's song Suit & Tie back in February when he said: 'I got love for Hov, but I ain't f***ing with that Suit & Tie.'

45 shops, 25 houses burnt in Ibadan petroleum tanker accident

 Monday, April 22nd won’t be forgotten so soon by the residents of Ode-Olo, Inalende and Omitowoyin in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital as property worth several millions of Naira were lost when a fuel-laden tanker spilled its content and caught fire.
Over 25 houses and 45 shops were razed in the area.
According to an eye witness, the tanker fell on its side when the driver, who against advice, chose to ply on a narrow
road in a residential area.
It was learnt that the content spilled on St. Stephen Primary School junction, where a food vendor was cooking which ignited the fire.
Confirming the tragic incident, National Emergency Management Agency,NEMA, Southwest information officer, Ibrahim Fariwoye, blamed the incident on the stubbornness of the driver.

Fariwoye said, “The PMS tanker fell near residential buildings and close to a woman cooking. Presently (on Monday evening), 25 houses and 42 shops have been burnt.
“Fire fighting operations are ongoing and the details of casualties cannot be ascertained as it is dark. Search and
recovery will start as soon as the fire is brought under control by firemen.”
DailyPost gathered that the fire that started at about 6.20pm rendered no fewer than 80 residents homeless.
A resident, who identified herself as Iya Kafaya wailed uncontrollably. She was said to have lost everything to the fire.
Many of the residents shouted out to ensure that their members were not trapped inside the houses that were on fire.

Babcock University students to pay as much as N3million for school fees next session

 Students of Babcock University, Ilisha Remo, Ogun state, took to the social media to air their grievances after the school administration recently announced an increment in their tuition fees which is expected to take effect from the next school academic session.
In the new increment released by the school administration, medical students are to pay a tuition fee of N3 million, Law, N2 million, Accounting, N1.5 million, Nursing N1 million and other courses, N860,000.
Out of fear for being suspended if they protest in person, the students took to the internet to let off the steam.
One of the students said, “I am a student of Babcock University(mass communication) I am going to 200 level next semester and my school fees amounts to N747,300 as opposed to N584,000.

“Babcock university is not a university, it is a family business. We have the VC’s wife as the Director of ventures, VC’s brother is Director of Transport…so what are we saying? Last semester, 10 tear rubber Prado jeeps were bought for some of the staff. With whose money?’ She asked rhetorically.
Babcock University is a private-Christian Nigerian university owned and operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Nigeria and claims to be a non-profit institution.

Madonna graduate stabs himself repeatedly to death

 A graduate of Madonna University, Anambra, who recently concluded his National Youth Service Corps programme had repeatedly stabbed himself to death at Wole Madariola Street, Aguda, Surulere, Lagos.
DailyPost gathered that Chidike on Friday, April 19, took a kitchen knife and stabbed himself repeatedly until his intestines were bulging out.
According to a female relative, who wished to remain anonymous,
the 25-year-old who just finished serving his father land had been depressed for some time.

Boston Marathon Bombing Suspect is Awake, Responding to Questions

Contrary to previous reports, the surviving Boston Marathon bombing suspect has begun to respond to questions from investigators as of Sunday, April 21st.

Early Sunday it was reported that 19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev — who along with his older brother Tamerlan Tsarnaev killed three people and injured more than 180 others at the Boston Marathon last Monday (Apr 15) — had suffered traumatic injuries so bad before his arrest on Friday night that he would be unable to successfully communicate with investigators.
